Given this idea, each of us cleaves to
multifaceted relationships between behavior and attitudes. One may claim that
behavior is a reflection of one’s attitude. Yet, some would also believe it to
be the other way around. It seems that, under specified circumstances we tend
to defy our own attitudes or behaviors. Behavior can be subjected to a number
of factors beyond attitude, including preconceptions about self and others, and
as I see it, attitudes and behaviors change over a period of time after being
subjected to some conditions. We may embrace strong convictions such as President
Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo should relinquish her presidency, yet at some point we
may think of the diminutive things she has done for some of our countrymen and

philly expatriateDream or Nightmare?
Last night I had a strange but vivid dream.
I was scheduled to go downtown for my pre-op exam and tests. Somehow, I ended up at my local hospital, and before I knew it, instead of tests, I was given a valium and prepped for an operation. I began to protest - under drug-induced haze - to the nurse who brought in a doctor to talk to me. It turned out to my my old OB-GYN the one I *hired* when I first got pregnant with my daughter.
In real-life, he is slightly handsome, slightly older than me, and wholly arrogant. He and I ended up getting into fights - actual yelling matches over my desire to *try* for natural childbirth. It got to the point that I initiated a *breakup* at 7 months pregnant and started seeing a local midwife, who eventually delivered my daughter at the local hospital and provided routine care for me for the next 6 years or so.
I truly felt (and still feel) like the disputes I had with the Dr. - lets call him Dr. D. - were like breaking up with a boyfriend. I... (more)
